Capstone Project - What's Cooking?

Say HELLO to ‘What’s Cooking’.

In the last 8 months of my undergrad, I worked towards my capstone project. 'What's Cooking?' is a cooking app that is currently still a prototype and work-in-progress. I am eager to continue this journey in bringing this project to life. My dream is for this to become a fully functional app and with dedication, hard work, and A LOT more time anything is possible. The idea behind this app was trying to find the balance between home cooking and ordering in. As a full-time student, i can go from cooking a five-course meal to barely having a second to eat. I myself struggle to fit cooking into my ‘busy’ life. When creating ‘What’s Cooking’, I wished there was a platform that combined all cooking apps and resources into one. My goal was to create a place where everyone of any cooking level can come together and not only learn how to cook but find the time to cook at home. I have an entire folder on my phone of different cooking apps that I flip back and forth between and it got me questioning why there isn't one that does it all? My capstone project includes a full Food App Case Study in which I display everything that I have worked towards and the entire process of creating, thinking, and planning for this app. In addition, I created prototype screens, wireframes, and possible outcomes for this app.

I love anything food-related and everything that comes with it. The initial vision and idea for this project came from my extreme ability and need to have my entire life organized and in order. I was trying so hard to create something that I can help people keep their lives organized, whether it may be organizational tips or tricks to make this easier. Somehow down the line, this idea turned to food. A lightbulb went off in my head and I ran with it.
